Together for Future VETskills

Project

The project tries to answer to some common challenges that many European countries are facing in the vocational training sector.
  1. On the one hand, VET is still considered as a fallback choice and has little appeal for young people and families.
  2. On the other hand, companies require an increasingly skilled workforce, which is difficult to find, and this is causing a slowdown in the economy.
  3. Finally, it is increasingly clear that it is necessary to equip young people with solid key competences in order to adapt in a changing world.
The main addressees are:
internal: management, staff and learners
external: other VET providers and their networks, on local, regional, national and European level as well as government and other regulatory bodies.

Project's Goals

The objectives of the project are:
  • to make skills and competences more visible and comparable in labour market at European level
  • actively promote the image of VET by sharing success stories, best practices, innovations and disseminating them during the European Skills Week.

Expected results

The expected results are:
  • consolidation of the international networks of the partners participating in the project;
  • knowledge of new partners to foster future student/staff mobility and/or new projects that will allow the development of new successful practices in VET;
  • the members of the consortium will be able to strengthen the role of the internationalization strategy and to link it more closely to the overall development of the organization;
  • they will learn to recognize the skills and competences that staff have acquired during their mobility and to take advantage of them in their organisation.

Partners

The partnership is made by a network of training providers from different countries (Finland, Italy and Spain)
